I have the UR 35r kit and wish I had gone with another one. I've had tons of leaks from the intercooler and 5 of 7 ic pipes. Included in those pipes was leaks that they won't fix because "the intake piping is not under pressure and doesn't need to be sealed".

They also have my maf housing that I had to pay to get bored out because I couldn't flow enough air to get past 330whp. I sent it to them with the rest of my pipes to be fixed and they never sent it back to me saying they never recieved it. It was in the same box as everything else.

The intercooler was fixed using epoxy instead of rewelding it. Hopefully it holds up to boost again when I have to get re-tuned because they didn't give me my maf housing back.

Finally when I recieved my kit intially, I didn't install it right away while I accumulated the rest of the supporting mods. When installing I noticed that it didn't fit correctly. They sent me the piping for a 04-05 sti instead of a 06and had the incorrect bov flange. Needless to say both the shop that sold it to me and UR blamed each other and wanted another $450 for the 2 pipes I should of gotten in the first place. I still don't have a wiper fluid resevoir.

I dont have any experience with the p&l kit but I would go with anything but UR... Sorry for the long post

Mike

I don't have experience with either kits, but i would go with the P&L for the simple fact that they are actively on this board.

I have a P&L kit, and i think just dealing with them was worth it for me, they made mine with a JDM catback adapter etc when i asked them to, and were happy to help with anything i asked.

Just need to get it on the car now

P&L all day over UR. The few UR kits I have seen all had fitment issues that were not minor. P&L kits are a bit more expensive, but they also include more than the UR kits do.

I have the P&L 30R kit and could not be happier. Feel free to check out my journal or ask me any questions about it. P&L makes top quality stuff.

Anything Jorge is involved with is going be a class act, period. OTOH, there have been quite a few guys here who have expressed real love for their UR setups. I'm a little surprised a few of them haven't jumped in...perhaps they are no longer quite so happy?

Me? I bought one of the pre-production Perrin setups waay back. It still works fine, but that's all I going to say...

I have a UR 35R kit and have been totally happy with it all the way around. With that said, if was buying all over again, I'd get the P&L kit just because it comes with more stuff in the kit. New power steering line and AVCS oil line just to name a few. They just need to start making Tial v-band kits.

I am running the P&L kit, and sorry to say no Journal as of yet! All I can say is if you want custom, made in the U.S.A. parts, call P&L. It’s a one stop shop and with their numerous updates of innovative bolt-ons; they keep pushing the envelope.
