Default 08 STI Radiator Core Volume??

Has anyone measured and or know how much different our 08 Radiator core is compared to an 06 or earlier.

I saw a picture of an 08 core next to a 07 and they visually looked very different in thickness. Supposeddly, the 07 versus an 06, the 07 shrunk a little. Just wondering how much the 08 shrunk too.

This could be a big contributing factor in heat management that Bytor is seeing on track and a contributing factor to the ring land failure scenario too.

Anyone have any data???

BTW, I am installing a Water Temp Defi Gauge shortly.

Pete...

Not sure about the size difference, however overheating when driven hard is not a new problem. I recall lots of #4 piston + over heating discussion when these cars (wrx/sti) first arrived in the US. Also if you read the specs for the factory prepared car used for the 24hr N'ring aside from engine tune they included a larger radiator, oil cooler, power steering cooler, bigger brakes and the A/C condenser core is removed from the front of the radiator

cheers
