| Junior STI Driver | I just had a shop install my TurboXS stealthback and XX tuning header and they ported the wastegate as well. My stock boost gauge reads less then .1 more like .08 is the highest i got it, which is the same as stock right? Does that mean they ported to much. Also I got a CEL code of P1153 which is something with the O2 sensor I believe. The crusie light has flashed at me once after driving it around when I got it. I am not sure what to do because I know I cannot drive around with a CEL. Thanks for any help or suggestions. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2003 Trader Rating: (2) | You need to purchase one of the following: UTEC - Allows you to run catless without a CEL i believe. Electrical CEL FIX - Easy splice in design that eliminates a CEL for cats being removed. Mechanical CEL FIX - An actuall CNCed piece that screws into the downpipe in order to allow the 02 sensor to stick far enough out of the downpipe in order to not read that you're catless. Sold somewhere on here I think... I would look for full boost in 4th or higher... and stock is 14.5 psi. Since you ported your wastegate that WILL make a difference. My EBC's digital boost gauge wouldnt read past ~10psi on the stock ebc. Good luck. (this was with stock exhaust though... if you have headers, downpipe, etc... you will have "minor booster creep" to where youwill go to like 13-14 , even though the stock solenoid doesnt normally allow it) Robert~ |

| The Next Petter Solberg | p1153- O2 sensor circuit range/performance (high) (bank 1 sensor 1) It is not CAT inefficiency error. I had the TXS stealthback on my WRX for a year and never ever had any CEL's Most likely it is the headers. check this thread on NASIOC it seems that the headers are the culprit. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ighlight=P1153 Regards Nick |

| Junior STI Driver | So should I buy UTEC which I was planning on doing soon and see what happens because I am not sure what in the world to do. Will UTEC bring back the boost? If I buy the UTEC is there already a map I can use for my particular set-up or something close. Has anyone else epxerienced this code(p1153) on this board with a header. On Nasioc they are saying that I need to replace the O2 sensor which is $200 and I am hoping I can get around that but we will see. If anybody definitely knows what the problme could be please let me know, thanks. |

| Junior STI Driver | Headers are really a pain in the butt. Similar things happened to me when I put on my jethot coated Gruppe-s headers on. I feel like I gained nothing with the addition of the headers. We'll see once I get my car tuned... |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2003 Trader Rating: (1) | also keep in mind the ecu needs time to learn...i use the vishnu timing trick...to speed things up...they say it dont work on an STI but it does on mine...give it time to learn it's new goodies...i just recently got a code p2086...front o2...on the headers...my fault...i ran 118 octane...i guess it couldnt take a little lead! ops: This ad is not endorsed by this member.
