I was wondering if some people could get some good sound clips of their exhaust and some comments on them for us STi owners without aftermarket exhaust. I am worried the exhaust will be too loud when I buy it and then I will not be happy with it. Or if anyone just has any suggestions on a good sounding and performing exhaust that is not too expensive (under $1000) that would be great. I look forward to hearing some sweet sounding exhausts with that great boxer sound. Thanks in advance.

here are a few i could find. if you don't want it louder stick with the factory muffler. pretty much any exhaust you put on is going to improve performance first and as a result the volume will be turned up a notch. if you absolutely have to have an exhaust and are concerned with noise look for one that comes with a silencer. i tried on the rfl-ti with the prodrive cat delete pipe and a stock center resonator. whooooweeee was it loud. one night i was leaving a friend of mines and he was chillin on the porch smokin a cig. he told me the next day he could here me from at least two miles away. i went with the magnaflow ti. with the silencer out it is quieter than the rfl-ti was. with the silencer in it is a bit louder than stock. and i like it both ways. maybe the borla hush, prodrive, or scooby sport? those are kinda on the quieter side

STi Lightweight Titanium Exhaust: http://www.kingofimports.com/engine/images/exhaust/

This exhaust not only sounds exceptional, but the build quality cannot be beat. While it is not the least expensive, the STi axleback is engineered for maximum performance. It offers significant weight reduction for both your STi and your pocket book; definitely not for those on a budget. Still, ultra cool!

Movie clips and sound clips can be accessed from the link above.

Was that your STi in the 0-100mph run, in one of the videos? It looked like an interesting launch technique and still produced a 0-60 in just under 5 seconds. It seems like that technique would produce less strain on the car. I'm just wondering how you did that.

Sorry for the OT reply.

The car is not stock, but I am curious as to how quick it can do 0-60 and the 1/4 mile.

Kevin, if you have a local circuit city around, go and buy a beltronics fx2 meter. It will tell you your 0-60, 1/4 mile, as well as a lot of other things. I bought one myself, and am very pleased with the quality of the product.
