As stated before, the turbo banjo bolt is not easy to get to, the avcs union bolt is. You probably checked the avcs bolt and assumed it was the turbo bolt.

My understanding is that the banjo bolt filter is there to keep large particles that may accumulate and dislodge in the system out of the tiny oil journal in the turbo.

****All turbocharged subarus have the turbo banjo bolt filter regardless of year. Only the AVCS filter was removed for '05+ mentioned in the TSB.***

i don't know how else to convey this.
I checked the correct bolt according to the TSB.

i know the turbo banjo bolt isnt easy to get to, i did a turbo swap and totally removed it and replaced it with a braided stainless one. since my turbo still works, i have a hard time believing i picked the wrong line. and the 07's have a wrx style line going strait into the head.

the 07 sti uses the normal wrx one that everyone sells. forced performance, element tuning, blouch, etc.

its not the banjo bolt on the turbo. it's the union banjo bolt on the head that's in the middle of the hard line. I don't see why you would replace the hard line. Most kits replace the line leading from the hard line to the turbo.

if you did, and you didn't have the filter, then your car is unique i guess. What's your date of manufacture?
