I took a look at the location of this banjo bolt yesterday. It looks like the turbo heat shield and one of the turbo/uppipe brackets will have to be removed to get to this bolt. Here is a picture I found showing the bolt and the bracket (on a 2L).

LOL! I just removed my turbo brackets this last weekend so I am golden. I spied the banjo yesterday and have a clear view of it. Yeah! That bracket is actually very easy to remove. It is the inside bracket that is the suxors.

I;m pretty sure those washers are generic subaru washers used throughout the car. they should be in stock.

Up a bit on the thread just after the first pics.

Do you think you can snap a picture so some of us that still don't have a clear view as to where this bolt is can find it? I want to make sure I know of its exact placement.

bump for the write up, i am ignorant with alot of mechanical stuff and want to learn. I have no idea where it is and what to do. I would greatly appreciate a detailed write up as i know others would.

Thanks,
Brian

Would the dealer service 04 STis that are out of warranty? I'd much rather have them do it, then myself.

TSBs are only for vehicles within the warranty period im guessing?
