A thread cleanup is definitely in order; this thing is turning into a novel and not much use to people experiencing this issue. I've never done it before, but does anyone know how to notify a moderator to suggest a cleanup?

I did this today and from the moment that I popped my hood to the time I finished cleaning up my tools it took me 27 minutes. This is 2 out of 10 on the scale of difficulty.

My filters had a little build up on them and the filters them self not the plastic pc had a crease in it. I would assume that, that was caused by the flow of oil. I’m just guessing.

Also I was worried about indexing the banjo bolts so that they line up with the whole in line. It is not needed. The inside of the collar is beveled so that the oil will pass beside the bolt and over to the holes.

That’s all I got for now. I hope that it starts easier and that I don’t burn oil any more, I hope. I will let you guys know.

Anyone have better pic on removing this Turbocharger Oil Supply Mesh Screen? I want to do this asap.

Does the 07 STI have this in the same location because I can't find mine

I'm a little confused since many of you guys have STi's. Is this only on the STi's or any WRX? I have an old school 2002.

subscribed! I change my oil every 3 grand but I have been using fram oil filters for the past year. Now that I know fram sucks, I will be using different oil filters from here on out.
