I was trying to put on my Turbo XS stealthback today and I could not for the life of me get the bolts off the exhaust. I tried using liquid wrench and WD40 but neither of them worked nor helped, does anyone have any suggestions I am new to this so any help is appreciated. Thanks

i've heard that candle wax and a blowtorch works. the melted wax works its way into the threads somehow. i've never tried this myself. WD-40 and Liquid wrench both work but they sometimes need time to work, as in overnight.

did you leave them overnight and did you use a impact wrench?
the impact wrench will take out anything because of the hammering effect.
also sometime heat can help.

Try PB Blaster. when I did the downpipe on my WRX I could not get the nuts loose either even with WD/40. The next day my neighbor said hey try this stuff and let it sit for about an hour. I did and it worked dandy..

Good Luck,

Neither of my shops could get one of my bolts off. I took the car home and let it cool off all night.

I pulled the IC off (takes 10 minutes) next morning, sprayed the entire stud w/ WD-40, and then I put my little socket on the stubborn bolt. The bolt didnt' move, but w/ firm continuous pressure I was able to back the entire stud out w/ the bolt on it. So, I just went to the hardware store in my wife's car and got a new bolt and nut of similar size and replaced it.
