IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2003 Trader Rating: (2) | Here is what I'd do... Element Tuning Hydra EM with wideband 02 ($1600-1800), FP Green Turbo ($????), PE 850CC injectors, Custom intake tubing (No maf required anymore with hydra), Aftermarket turbo inlet hose, Aftermarket intake, Perrin Crank Pulley, Perrin Catch Can, PWR or Godspeed Radiator, XXtuning or new APS DR500 FMIC, Aps 3.5" Race Turboback (unless you need a custom downpipe... in which case just custom make a 3.5" one and mate it up to the 3.5" catback), Greddy Headers (or something without slip joints or anything like that) and mate with flex uppipe << this mod not really required, but it would be of help im sure with this size turbo, Denso IKH22 1 stage colder iridium plugs, Walbro 255lph fuel pump, StaticX GROUNDING KIT (of course if you wanna hit the 11s hehe jk), and i could go on for days....or possibly talk with axis and get a fully built 2.65L engine and do ecu, turboback, turbo, and fmic to it. Im sure it'd be quick. $10k is a tad bit too broad to just say "whats best" as the sti is really just getting started in that it JUST recently got REAL engine management. Just start with an ecu and go from there. Maybe if you're a good enough drive you will only spend ~$4 or 5k of it and hit 11s. So have at it. Robert~ |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | Don't waste your money messing around with the overpriced APS stage kits stuff(albeit VERY high quality, but you might as well go for THE best turbo's out right now: GT-Garret series). For raw power, seek no further than Godspeed's Spec R package(520 kit or 650 kit): Stage 4/Spec R packages- 500-650 HP+ capability - $TBA  We now have two new kits for the ultimate in power, response, and cutting edge technology. We have the Spec R 520 kit for those looking for fast spool up and modest power goals of 400-450 whp. We also have the Spec R 650 kit for those looking for ultimate power and have built motors equipped to handle over 500-550 whp Note, the Spec R 650 kit will supply over 500 WHP and should be used with reinforced Godspeed 2.5 liter block for getting the maximum power out of it and maintain reliability. These kits include: Spec R 520 or Spec R 650 ball bearing turbo with stainless exhaust housing and 4 inch inlet GT Spec II header with custom uppipe Godspeed Custom Downpipe Element Tuning/Hydra ECU with wideband O2 Tial 44mm wastegate with V Band clamps and vented back into downpipe PE 850cc injectors Custom air intake with air temp sensor (no MAF). Outlet pipe from compressor to mate to APS FMIC piping APS DR650 FMIC Walbro 255 l/hr fuel pump All Oil feed and drain lines for perfect fit Base map for easy start up, ready for fine tuning ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This should be MORE than enough to get you into the high 11's. If you have a couple $1000's left over, spend that on some GOOD brakes, suspension, and chassis upgrades. |

| Spec C Club | umm yeah that looks like a yummy recipe that dan has put together. only one i would reccomend besides what has been listed is maybe esxmotorsports. ali does have the fastest wrx, period. maybe droppin 10 bills in his hands might get you 11's. you could create a 11 second car by yourself a la carte, but spendin that kinda dough i would at least consult some of the wrx/sti tuners for their take on it |

| Senior STI Driver | Full stage 4 is in the $7500 range plus install and tuning. That leaves a little left over for a nice ATS carbon twin or triple plate clutch. Monster built 2.5, 2.65 or 2.8 liter block would be your next step after that. That will get you 10's. |

| Senior STI Driver | Theres a few kits out there but people still have to tune them. I'll be tuning a 2.8 liter block next month with my Spec R 650 kit. Most guys are opting for the 520 kit although as we do release our new line of motors I think this will change. We are still debating different options on motors and deciding which way will offer the best bang for the buck for the Subaru guys. |
