Q... why would you put an aftermarket turbo timer in the car since it already has one built-in? Not flaming, just wondering if there is any advantage to putting one in after?

the car has a water cooled turbo to help cool the oil but the turbo timer i have displays speed so it can do 0-100kph/0-200kph/0-200meters/0-400meters and some other things also it has a volt gauge i just want it working properly just in case you did not know 0-400meters is very close to 1/4 mile

Oh ok! That'd be handy too! Just wanted to make sure it's not harming my car when I turn it off right away without letting it idle for a few mins Thanks

I'd recommend a unit designed to do that then (Such as Blitz Power Meter ID). As the turbo timers usually will cause your alarm to not function until the car shuts off... which means instead of just sitting there manually allowing it to cool, you now have to sit and wait for it to cool anyways... (Unless I heard incorrectly). This was how my friend's evo was, but Im not sure ifi ts the same for the sti.
