I installed recently a Blitz intake and more recent a RS*R TBE. I also ported the wastegate when i had it apart. I am having problems when i give the car gas it hesitates, stumbles, and sometimes backfires (only once so far). I reset the ECU twice and it seems to get worse after the reset. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

Will

Check to make sure the MAF sensor plug is facing out (the harness is sticking out torwards the front of the car), make sure all sensors are properly plugged in and secure, Did you possibly overport the turbo? Any more info would be great.

The MAF is on correct. I do not think I overported the turbo(was extremly careful) because the suction and the BPV noise is the same as before the TBE.

hmmm... try putting the stock intake box on (not the whole system) and see if that changes anything... the box should only take 10minutes to swap and that could help narrow it down. Do you have any other mods on your car? Are your 02 sensors properly installed and what not (did you do any splicing or cel fixing?).

I will put the stock airbox back in to test. And yes I did splice and soldered the cel fix to the O2 sensor. I'll be back in a few...

PS. Thanks for the help Robert...

Looks like the problem is gone and the stock airbox was the fix. I drove it last night around town and to work this morning. Now comes the hard part, figuring out why it was happening. I can only think of two things... 1. The stock ECU does not know how to handle the extra air coming in (since the Blitz is less restrictive) 2. Was it heat ingestion. Underhood temps too high causing heat soak in the intercooler. Any thoughts...

Hey, but at least I'm happy its running good now. Now I can go to sleep at night and not look like this

Hmmm, I have tried perrin short ram, apexi short ram, and injen CAI (which i currently have on) and none of them created a problem. It could be possible that the maf wasnt seat securely or the filter wasnt tightened on enough, or something, im not sure. Heat should have nothing to do with it since by the time the air gets to the turbo its already hot. The symptoms you are talking about sound like a loose or blown IC hose... so Im trying to think of what is causing it. Let me know what you find out.

Robert~
