| DOMINATOR Feedback Score: 5 reviews Fav Mod: Strut Clunk | I've only ridden in a car with a 44mm, so I can't say from personal firsthand experience. However, I've read that the 44mm isn't AS loud, but it's still damn loud.

| Platinum Member Feedback Score: 3 reviews Fav Mod: Custom built TBE FTW!!! | What constitutes what size we need for our cars? I see everyone always goes with a Tial 44m and a few go with 38mm. what constitutes those sizes and why always that brand?

| Spec C Club Feedback Score: 2 reviews | The real two brands that are used are TurboSmart and Tial. A lot of people use Tial .. The difference between the Tial 38 and 44 is that the 44 uses a V-Band. A lot of people have had problmes with the 38 and 44 has no problems. Although it has been said that if you use a quality flange or gasket or something for the 38 .. It won't be a problem and it'll save you more money.

| DOMINATOR Feedback Score: 5 reviews Fav Mod: Strut Clunk | Tial is just the most popular, with TurboSmart being the next in line. Some people choose 44mm over 38mm due to sound differences or the 44mm having v-band clamps. Another theory is the 38mm is for high boost applications and 44mm for low boost. Also, I read something about not being able to run leaded gas with 38mm if that's a concern.
