pra - i'll take that back - when i test fitted the helix cat'd DP, i didn't have my dump tube on, and when I look at the pictures closer, it probably wouldn't have fit.

I can't believe people dont heat wrap their dump tubes, especially with how close they are to the CV boot.

Definately go with the 38 Vband, its much smaller and will guarentee a fit. I have the massive 44mm and it hits the side of the engine bay on left turns making a vibrating noise.

As mentioned, wrap and spray the dump tube, your JV boot will thank you.

Thanks for the headsup bro. You had the 44mm, right? I think I'll just try a 38mm ... looks like it'll fit on mine no problemo ... just nervous about the dumptube ... but, I can maybe have one remade or just remove it ;-)

Holy crap that thing is crammed in there! :-) What Uppipe are you using? This probably makes the difference ... as I've seen other 44mms that seem to be a better fit.

I think I'll try the 38mm v-band -- your pic has scared me to 38mm :P

I finally got my setup installed and its running well. These things are loud as hell; I mean if you do a WOT pull through the gears with the windows down, it can make my ears ring... now I know why people want to route the dump tube back into the downpipe vs. to atmosphere.

I was interested in the 'hybrid' setup using an EBCS and an MBC but my tuner only wanted to go with the MBC, so that's what we did. Heres some pics of the Hallman evo rx MBC with the adjustment extension and in-cabin control knob mounting. I couldnt achieve 20 PSI of boost with the ceramic ball and light spring in the Hallman MBC, but was able to easily with the steel ball and heavy spring.

Hi guys, I also got the CEL and flashing cruise from unhooking the stock BCS in my current setup - code p0245 "low wastegate solenoid" after I checked the idiot light with my actron scanner.

Explanation from a guy on nasioc: "The stock BCS works via a low-side switch located internally in the ECU. When not building boost the ECU sees 12VDC @ 0% WGDC. When the duty cycle increases the BCS low-side switch is rapidly turned on and off dropping 12VDC across the BCS's plunger coil. During the portion of the duty cycle when it's energized the ECU sees 0VDC at the terminal... If the stock BCS is disconnected from the wiring harness the ECU does not see the 12VDC in the 0% WGDC state. Hence the 'Solenoid Low Voltage' code... Plug in the stock BCS and just leave it there and the code should go away."

I am gonna meet up with my tuner to double check things next friday, hopefully we can try the 'hybrid' setup incorporating the ebcs + mbc.

I guess I wouldnt know until I try adding the ebcs, but driving around town under no/partial boost and throttle, the driveability is decent.
