You're actually talking about something different. I'm talking about the surging following the throttle plate closing some. The reason yours sounds like this is because you're using an EBC. An EBC uses duty cycles to actuate the waste gate. It will make that 'wha wha wha' sound right as you get into boost. It's actually not a problem. Don't worry about it. If it bothers you a lot, get rid of the ebc and run an MBC. That's what I do.

excellent, thank you. i had attributed my sounds to the pulsing of the ebc, but i wasn't positive since i have it clamp at 100% duty cycles when i go WOT. it's reassuring to know that it's normal.

as for the louder "WHA" as you let off, i can't speak for eroc263, but mine is just a short burst; no pulsing. i guess it's just getting rid of the excess gases because i'm calling for no boost when i let off?

I am using the APS dual vent valve. I've haven't heard any surge whatsoever. I may try loosening the spring adjustment on the valve a little to see if that helps any. I am using an EBCS only. No hybrid method or anything. I'm not to worried about it anymore. I've just been telling myself it's normal. Ha.

This is exactly what mine does. Just a short WHA that lasts no longer than the sound of a BOV releasing pressure. What BOV are you using? How much boost?

Was it a tight fit? How much space do you have, think you can get a pic for me? I'm pondering the 44mm (Grimmspeed set up), but really not sure if all that will fit with my DP (maybe a 38mm will fit for sure)?

Here is my DP w/cat - if you can get a similar pic of your set up, I'd be greatful!

My uppipe setup worked with my helix cat'd (bellmouth + cat), but i threw on an HKS catless to see how I like it.

Looks nice without the cat too. How much clearance did you have with the Catted/DP?

I like how your dump tube is heat wrapped too, lol :-) Nice ;-)
