IWSTI Addict since: May 2008 | ^^ I'm currently running the Flying Performance BCS along with a Hallman Evo MBC. Note this is on a internally gated stock VF43. Benifits I see: - using the bcs allows for part throttle part boost, and excellent around town driveability. - When you want to go WOT, you get MBC performance.. fast spool-up and holds boost well. - You can change your boost by adjusting a knob ( I have the in-cab controller ) and not have to mess with changing WGDC's to hit target boost. - Boost will pretty much never spike over what your MBC is set to.. but using only the BCS can cause spiking at low rpm, high load/high throttle input. - Shortens tuning time as you can quickly change to whichever boost level you want. - Basically, MBC performance w/o PTFB problems and oem driveability. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2005 | Anyone buy their EWG supplies (gasket, springs, hardware, etc.) from a particular place? I need some stuff and was going to order from forcedperformance.com. Also, I need a 'bracket' to keep the VF39 IWG shut. Dont want to weld it. Like above, anyone use a particular clamp/brace? I saw grimmspeed had one for $25. I was also wondering if that would interfere with a turbo blanket? |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2005 | Pardon this crude diagram, but I need some help on all the vacuum tube connections for my EWG setup with a 3-port boost solenoid + hallman MBC ('hybrid' setup - see: new hybrid mbc/ebc method of boost control - NASIOC), any help appreciated! If someone could photoshop or use a drawing tool with the connections and "T's" or whatever is needed, or list "connect # to #" that'd be awesome. Boost source (nipple on turbo - got omitted in diagram) Kinda confusing, here's the list of all (total) connections: (1) Turbo - bosot source (2) EWG - bottom nipple (3) EWG - top nipple (4) Grimmspeed EBCS - port#1 (5) Grimmspeed EBCS - port#2 (6) Grimmspeed EBCS - port#3 (7) Hallman evo rx MBC - top port (8) Hallman evo rx MBC - side port Last edited by FleaDog; 03-22-2009 at 06:02 PM.. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2005 | Alright, herewe go again. I picked up the grimmspeed 3-port (to be used in combo with the hallman mbc) on that, port#1 - route to intake or left off, port#2 - wastegate actuator port#3 - boost source |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2007 | For those of you who already have the Tial 44mm Wastegate and Dupe tube, where did you get it? How much? So far the cheapest I have found them for is $370.99 from http://www.maperformance.com/tial-44mm-wastegate.html and $66 from JSCSpeed.com. Looking to fit with the ATP 30R Last edited by armyssoldierboy; 03-25-2009 at 08:03 AM.. |
