| Spec C Club Feedback Score: 3 reviews | the reason for the lower pressure spring (from my new found understanding) is that if something fails you wont run no wastegate, basically it will default to 14 psi a boost controller will simply regulate the amount of pressure the wastegate sees preventing premature opening i may be wrong someone correct me if i am |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 | The prodrive boost solenoid gives better spool, enables alittle more peak boost to be run, but primarily it's the faster spool . The Tial EWG springs can also be doubled up. Meaning, take the 1 bar spring which is the largest spring, and you can add a smaller spring inside of it to increase the rate. There are only 4 springs and they are colored. Red, green, blue and yellow which designates the rate. There's a vendor on ebay that sells just the springs. They are pricey($29) and nobody else I found carries the springs in stock. I was gonna double up My 1 bar spring plus the smallest spring when I switch to bigger turbo. But decided 14psi would be fine. The larger the spring rate, the harder the hit is when the EWG opens. So, if you road race alot or autoX with a moderated sized turbo, the smaller spring shouldn't send the back end of car around when it opens. Some guys have removed their ewg setup because of the abruptness of the opening. Could of just dropped to a smaller spring. Doing so reduces spool time some. A trade off. |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 | I don't know if this was posted or not cause I didn't want to read through all the pages but on GCG it says you would need to relocate your turbo in order to have a EWG. Is that correct with our stock VF39 or do we not need to relocate? |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2005 | You dont have to relocate your turbo, just buy an uppipe with an intergrated external wastegate. |
