Here are the Recaros installed. I absolutly love them! Took the car to the drive in last night and we were very comfortable. Just have to adjust the passenger seat later today to match the drivers seat. The flash makes them look dirty in these pics, but they are fairly clean. I didnt get a chance to scrub them yet as I was in a hurry to get the stockers out because I have a buyer driving from Boston to pick them up tomorrow. Seats will be cleaned later in the week.
I found this thread very helpful as far as the 2006 airbag system and getting the bladder to work in the passenger seat.
06 passenger detection system swap - NASIOC
The Wedge engineering brackets worked well. I did have a problem with the passenger bracket not being properly fitted to the car and had to bend one of the tabs a bit with a hammer to get the holes to line up with the car. That was the only issue I had. Also they are painted because they were a birthday present from my girlfriend. She wanted me to know they were from her!
The height adjustable brackets are cool. Except I had to cut the first hole off of the front of the adjustable part to get the seats low enough to my liking. I went with the lowest setting in the back and the middle setting in the front. So my seats brackets are set up just the opposite of this pic as far as the height adjust goes. I sink back into the seat and they feel great.
We all know what the stockers look like
And now the newbies. This is after one wash down with the steam cleaner. I plan to do them again next weekend
I had to cut the height adjustment to make them fit. They come with 3 holes. Driver side is set in the middle hole for the fronts and lowest setting in the back (or the first hole if counting from top to bottom) You are looking at the passenger side that will be adjusted later this week
My airbag light fix. 3 resistors wired in parallel to meet the 3.3ohms.
